WESTERN AUSTRALIA WINE TOUR

SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY ONE

Perth Hills-Mundaring

Coach picks up guests at Perth Airport at noon and departs for Darlington Estate in the Perth Hills for lunch. After lunch guests will have the opportunity for a walk in the John Forest National Park.

Dinner and accommodation tonight with award winning Owner/Chef, Alain Fabregues.

O/N in beautifully appointed cottages at the Loose Box.

DAY TWO

Swan Valley-Margaret River

After breakfast the tour travels to Gabrielle Kervella’s goat farm at Gidegannup, for a stunning morning tea amongst the wandoo trees featuring Gay’s goat cheese and New Norcia sourdough.

Depart for the north-east corner of the Swan valley where the tour visits Talijanich Winery, renowned for it’s fortified wine, Mann Vineyard for a tasting of their distinctive methode champenoise, and finally arrive at Lamont Winery for a delightful and vibrant al fresco lunch After lunch. a luxury coach will transfer guests the 3.5 hour trip to Margaret River. Arrive at Basildene Manor, residence the next two nights – a delightfully restored heritage property of immense charm.

VIP Dinner at Leeuwin Estate.

DAY THREE

Margaret River

Today’s highlights include an exclusive tasting with David Hohnen, walking through the heritage Karri forest of Boranup with a picnic lunch, a spectacular canoe trip up the Margaret River culminating with a beach sunset. One of the regions’ great new talents, will prepare tonight’s fabulous dinner.

DAY FOUR

Margaret River

A sumptuous Breakfast at Basildene Manor before departure for Redgate Winery and later a vertical tasting with Leeuwin’s chief winemaker, Bob Cartwright. After lunch an exhilarating walk on the beach. Dinner his evening at Cape Lodge, one of the luxurious gems of Margaret River, and residence for the last two nights.

DAY FIVE

Margaret River

Today focuses on the northern end of Margaret River and includes a visit to an olive oil farm, Lenton Brae Winery, the stunningly located Brookland Valley Winery that also boats a superior boutique purveying very good wine books, maps and wine accoutrements.

Lunch will be taken at Janet Holmes a Court’s, Vasse Felix Winery. After lunch visit Cullens Winery, the first winery to be established in Margaret River and renowned for its wines, but also for the family of pioneering women.

After some free time late in the afternoon to enjoy the environs of Cape Lodge. Depart by coach for a 20 minute drive to the town of Vasse and your farewell degustation dinner at Newtown House. Award winning chef, Steve Regan will design a seasonal, regional menu.

DAY SIX

Margaret River / Perth

After a sumptuous breakfast at Cape Lodge the coach returns guests to Perth Airport.
