Tour Overview

South Africa

From the spectacular natural beauty to the vibrant "rainbow nation" mix of cultures, South Africa is good for the soul.

A great climate, world-famous game parks, sophisticated infrastructure and cosmopolitan cities like Cape Town, subtropical beach forests, isolated deserts, bush wilderness, tribal villages, the “big five”, extraordinarily rich birdlife, and world class wines, you will see it all.

Experience the most vibrant democracy on earth - the country that emerged from half a century of apartheid oppression to become a model of progressive governance, and gave the world Nelson Mandela.

Namibia

Namibia is named after the 80-million-year-old Namib Desert, one of the driest places on earth. Known as ‘The Living Desert’, the Namib is a world of vast space, endless horizons, dramatic desertscapes and jagged mountain heights. The ancient dunes span the entire Atlantic coast, covering the 800 mile-long, Skeleton Coast.

Home to the magnificent desert oryx and the endangered desert elephant, two wonderful examples of adaptation to an apparently hostile climate. Flanked by the Atlantic to one side and the Kalahari desert to the other, Namibia is a land of diverse landscapes and an incredible variety of wildlife.

Most of Namibia's 1.7 million people are confined to Windhoek, and the main seaside cities, South Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. However, Namibia's most famous inhabitants are the Bushmen. A nomadic tribe which has lived in the harsh climes of the Kalahari and has remained relatively untouched by western culture.
